About the position
A leading provider of industrial geared motors and power transmission solutions is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer.Must have strong technical knowledge of geared motors, VSDs, and power transmission systems, paired with proven sales skills in industrial markets. You should excel in client consultations, engineering calculations, and closing deals, while thriving in a target-driven environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
- 3+ years in technical sales (geared motors, VSDs, or industrial gearboxes preferred)
- Strong grasp of power transmission systems and their industrial applications
- Proven ability to translate technical specs into commercial value
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with a track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Sales: Identify client needs, conduct engineering calculations (conveyors, hoists, agitators), and propose tailored solutions
- Business Growth: Drive revenue by expanding market share in key industries (mining, cement, energy, etc.)
- Client Relationships: Build long-term partnerships through consultative selling and exceptional service
- Market Intelligence: Monitor trends, analyze competitors, and refine sales strategies
- Collaboration: Work with engineering and marketing teams to align solutions with client requirements
