Role Purpose
We are seeking a results-driven Technical Sales Account Manager responsible for expanding new business and managing a portfolio of existing key client accounts. The role involves understanding client challenges and recommending tailored technical solutions that deliver maximum business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities, actively seeking out prospective clients who would benefit from our comprehensive solutions.
- Account Management: Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement and support.
- Technical Sales & Consulting: Conduct technical sales presentations and product demonstrations. Serve as a subject matter expert, articulating the full-service portfolio to clients.
- Solution Design: Collaborate closely with the technical and engineering teams to design and propose customized solutions that precisely meet client needs.
- Target Achievement: Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Market Intelligence: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to effectively position our offerings against competitors.
Comprehensive Service Portfolio
The Technical Sales Account Manager will be responsible for selling and supporting solutions across the following categories :
- Connectivity & Managed Services: Business-grade Fibre, Wireless, private networks, and managed IT services.
- Cybersecurity: Managed Detection and Response (MDR), endpoint security, and 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC) services.
- VoIP & Telephony: Advanced communication solutions like 3CX for business connectivity.
- Cloud & Data Centre Services: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Backup as a Service (BaaS), Desktop as a Service (DaaS), and seamless cloud migration projects.
- Bespoke Software Development: Tailored development projects designed to meet unique client requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of technical sales experience within the IT or telecommunications industry is essential.
- A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong technical knowledge in areas such as Voice over IP (VoIP), connectivity, managed services, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- A strong customer-focused approach with the ability to build and nurture long-term client relationships.
- An IT-related degree is highly desirable.
Compensation Structure
- Basic Salary: R35,000 to R45,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience).
- Incentives: Attractive commission structure leading to On-target commission earnings (OTE) for high performance.
- Availability: Must be able to start immediately.
