Technical Operations & Onboarding Specialist - Cape Town (Hybrid)
We're hiring a driven and detail-oriented Technical Operations & Onboarding Specialist to join a growing fintech company based in Cape Town. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of people, process, and product - with a strong bias for action and a background in onboarding, customer success, or internal operations.
You'll work cross-functionally with sales, legal, finance, and tech teams to ensure seamless merchant onboarding, support process optimisation, and drive internal efficiencies. It's a high-accountability environment with plenty of opportunity to shape how things are done.
What you'll do:
- Own the end-to-end onboarding process for new merchants and partners
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Finance, Legal) to ensure all onboarding steps are completed accurately and timeously
- Identify and solve operational bottlenecks and inconsistencies across systems and processes
- Monitor team performance, workflows, and KPIs, and implement improvements
- Create documentation and playbooks to support onboarding, training, and support handovers
- Support customer support escalations and contribute to process improvements
- Work closely with external partners to ensure alignment and issue resolution
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of experience in onboarding, operations, customer success or similar roles - ideally in a fintech or SaaS environment
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex workflows
- Proficient with data and tools (Excel, project tracking, documentation)
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Bonus: Experience in payments, integrations, or merchant onboarding processes
