About the position
We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead project delivery, ensure quotation accuracy, and manage installation teams within our Sandton operations. Ideal candidates will have strong HVAC and heat pump expertise with proven leadership skills
Key Responsibilities
Quotation & Technical Oversight
- Review and approve quotations prepared by sales engineers to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team.
- Ensure proposals align with company standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
Project Leadership
- Lead and mentor project managers responsible for installation delivery.
- Monitor project execution to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Evaluate team performance and provide coaching and development support.
Technical Problem Solving
- Act as the escalation point for complex technical challenges.
- Support design, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.

Minimum Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC, or related technical field.
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience within HVAC, air-conditioning, or mechanical building services.
- At least 3–5 years’ experience working with heat pump or renewable energy systems.
- Proven experience managing technical teams, project managers, or installation teams.
- Strong knowledge of relevant safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in reviewing technical quotations and overseeing project delivery.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the region if required.
- Strong computer literacy, including project management and technical reporting tools.
