Our client is seeking a motivated and technically inclined Internal Sales Representative to join thier dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, interpreting technical drawings, preparing accurate quotations, and overseeing jobs through to completion and delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Proactively contact and maintain relationships with assigned customers on a daily basis.
- Read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations.
- Process sales orders efficiently, ensuring all drawings, material specifications, and production details are correct.
- Manage and track jobs from order to delivery, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Provide professional technical support and product information to customers.
- Collaborate with the production and design teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Follow up on quotations and convert leads into confirmed orders.
- Maintain updated records of customer interactions, quotes, and sales performance.
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies and market growth initiatives.
Requirements:
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
- MDDOP qualification or equivalent technical training (advantageous).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar technical internal sales role.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical and fabrication drawings.
- Fully computer literate (Microsoft Office, ERP/CRM systems, AutoCAD, SigmaNest)
- Knowledge of materials and machine capabilities (laser, bending, profile, plasma, fabrication).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- A proactive “go-getter” attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
