About the position
A well-established company within the mining and industrial industry based in the Western suburbs of Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Technical External Sales Representative.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience in technical sales and business development
- Strong experience selling technical or engineered products
- Mining industry experience is highly advantageous but not essential
- Experience supplying products or solutions to the mining, industrial, rail or electrical sectors will be advantageous
- Proven track record in new business development and strategic account management
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Established industry network advantageous
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth through new business development and strategic account management
- Identify and secure new customers and market opportunities
- Develop and implement business development and sales strategies
- Build and maintain relationships with mining houses, contractors, consultants, OEMs and end users
- Grow existing key accounts while developing new business opportunities
- Identify new product and market opportunities aligned with customer requirements
- Manage the sales pipeline, forecasts and territory plans
- Conduct client visits, presentations and technical product demonstrations
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions and networking functions
- Provide market intelligence and business development reports to management
- Work closely with internal teams to support customers and deliver solutions
- Ensure compliance with the company's quality management systems
