About the position
A well-established company in Cape Town (North-East of Cape Town CBD) is looking for an External Technical Sales Representative to join their team!
Requirements:
- 2 - 4 years’ experience in external sales in a technical environment
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Sales experience in IT, Engineering, Networking or Industrial Automation advantageous
- Valid South African driver’s license
Duties:
- Deliver outstanding sales, support, communication and consulting services
- Grow and manage the customer database while actively generating new leads
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective sales strategies, tailored solutions and responsive administration
- Manage tenders and projects from initial concept through to successful completion
- Keep the CRM system regularly updated with client and sales information
- Visit client sites for product assessments, presentations and relationship development
- Provide professional, service-driven support focused on improving customer satisfaction and company efficiency
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets
- Achieve set targets for external calls, client meetings and weekly sales engagement
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues as a key team player in a growing sales team
- Report directly to the sales manager and maintain close working alignment
- Stay informed about new products and innovations in the industry
