About the position
Are you a Technical Customer Support Representative within the automotive, engineering or manufacturing industry seeking a new opportunity with a fast-growing company?
A leading organisation is looking for a customer-focused and proactive individual to support clients across the Durban region. This role combines technical customer support, relationship management and business development, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across the Durban region
- Conduct daily client visits to provide product support, demonstrations and equipment inspections
- Identify opportunities to introduce new products and grow existing accounts
- Provide after-sales support and resolve customer queries promptly
- Prepare weekly activity reports and maintain regular communication with the head office
- Participate in sales, marketing and promotional events
- Stay up to date with product knowledge and industry developments
- Travel when required to attend meetings, training and customer visits in other regions around provinces.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and support
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (tertiary qualification advantageous)
- Previous experience in customer support, sales or account management
- Experience within the automotive industry advantageous
- Exposure to engineering, manufacturing or panel beating environments beneficial
- Strong computer literacy and administrative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong relationship-building and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle essential
