Minimum requirements:
- National Diploma Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in technical buying, technical support, and order processing.
- Preferably, formerly from a Multinational/Global company supplying industrial equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data manipulation and reporting).

Duties and responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and subcontractors for technical goods and services.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to determine procurement requirements.
- Manage purchase orders from creation to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfilment.
- Monitor supplier performance, conduct vendor evaluations, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing with suppliers.
- Optimise procurement costs through value analysis, cost-saving initiatives, and bulk purchasing strategies.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation.
- Process customer sales orders accurately and on time.
- Track and communicate the status of customer orders with internal teams and clients.
- Align with finance on payment terms and credit limits.
- Track backorders and delivery schedules.
- Prepare invoicing projections and forecast reports.
- Prepare reports for management and perform other administrative duties.
- Provide accurate and continuous feedback to management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high-quality and professional service.
- Drive continuous improvement and implement lean processes within the business unit.
- Comply with all Health and Safety standards.
- Take on evolving responsibilities in line with business growth.
