About the position
We need a Technical Business Analyst to support Fraud Graph Analysis Project and related fraud prevention initiatives. The suitable candidate should have experience supporting data analysis projects and providing specifications for integrations.
Core functions:
- Managing the implementation of new risk detection features and functionalities.
- Collaborating with Forensic Analysis team, Security, CRM system owners, Big Data Platform team and other relevant business owners to implement new Risk system solutions
- Conducting interviews and workshops to understand the needs of stakeholders.
- Documenting and analysing business requirements in a clear and concise manner
- Developing use-cases and user stories to define system functionality.
- Defining integration requirements between other systems and various Risk portfolio systems (Define SQL statements where required, API Swagger/Open API specification)
- Develop conceptual and logical data models to ensure requirements are fully analysed and understood
Non-negotiable skills of which evidence of assessment is required o Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data from relational databases.
- Proven experience with API Swagger/OpenAPI specification
- Strong excel skill
- Experience having worked on data driven projects: ETL, Data Warehousing, Big Data, etc.
- Experience working on products built on AWS
- Experience with Atlassian products, particularly Confluence and Jira
Skills and Qualifications:
- 6 years plus of experience as an IT Business Analyst with at least 3 years working on data projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with Agile development methodologies a plus
- Strong ownership and a self-starter
Qualifications
BCom Information Systems qualifications, BSc. Computer Science or any other relevant qualification
In the provision of this service, the following is expected:
- Ability to work under pressure and run with multiple projects concurrently
- Willing to learn as there is constant stream of initiatives being received from the customer
- Understand there might be technical aspects to work on over and above the managed service BA responsibilities
