About the position
A supplier of IVD products requires the above to support customers with analyser, application, operator, and reagent queries, working closely with the sales team to drive sales growth.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A BSC degree/ National Diploma in Biomedical Technology or Degree is required for this role.
- Must have worked in a laboratory environment as a Technician, Technologist or Scientist.
- Previous experience dealing with customers is essential.
- Must have worked on LIS system and must be computer literate with MS Office.
- Must understand scientific/medical terminology.
- Previous experience as a TAS in a diagnostic equipment environment is preferred.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting customers with analyser, application, operator, and reagent issues, working closely with the sales team to drive sales growth.
- Growing product adoption, support installations and troubleshooting, train customers and field staff, and maintain accurate documentation/reporting.
- Improving customer satisfaction and ensuring regulatory and quality compliance.
- Participating in events to promote the company as required.
- Collaborating with the FSE’s for the successful execution of the installation procedure.
- Investigating systemic problems, identifying the cause and developing solutions, including acting as the resource for the escalation of problems to the parent company for additional assistance with troubleshooting complaints.
- Developing training materials using information received from the supplier to accommodate varying levels of customer expertise.
- Managing resources and technology enhancements necessary to deliver superior customer support training programs and participating in customer training needs analysis.
- Providing a detailed monthly report to the Technical Application Manager, reporting incidents and critical issues directly to the Technical Application Manager.
- Implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory directives.
- Complying with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and working practices with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, customers, colleagues and/or the environment.
