Technical Accounts Manager

About the position

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Technical Accounts Manager with a strong combination of technical knowledge, customer relationship management and sales experience within the composites, chemicals, coatings or a related industry.

The successful candidate will act as the key technical liaison between customers and the business, providing technical guidance, resolving product-related issues and identifying opportunities to grow and develop customer accounts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Recognised Sales qualification OR Chemical/related qualification
• Minimum 3 years' practical sales experience within the composites or a related industry
• Proven sales track record
• Strong computer literacy
• Strong technical and commercial understanding
• Excellent customer relationship and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers
• Act as the primary technical contact for customer queries and escalations
• Understand customers' technical and business requirements
• Guide customers on product implementation, optimisation and best practices
• Provide technical troubleshooting and problem-solving support
• Manage technical projects and coordinate resources and timelines
• Identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate products/services
• Drive new and existing business opportunities
• Support the achievement of sales targets
• Monitor market trends, sales forecasts and account performance
• Identify and develop prospective customers
