About the position
Technical Accountant: Insurance (Ref: 23714)
Description:
A well-established insurance company based in Centurion is seeking a Technical Accounting. Responsibilities include the processing of collections, refund payments, returned debits and allocating deposits as well as processing broker commissions and reports, reconciling accounts and month end reports. Must have Technical Accounting experience in an insurance environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process commission and broker reports.
- Reconcile both Premium and claims bank accounts.
- Process premium collection, refund payments, returned debits and allocate deposits received.
- Assist with Claims payments from time to time.
- Attend to insurer and broker queries.
- Assist and prepare Month end reports.
- FAC experience will be an added advantageous.
- Assist the team with other Ad-hoc duties.
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting.
- Not Negotiable Requirement: Technical Accounting experience in an insurance environment.
- Ability to Process premium collection, refund payments, returned debits and allocate deposits received.
- Good Excel skills.
- SAP an advantage only.
- FAC experience an advantage.
- IFRS 17 knowledge.
- Caseware/Draftworks/SAP knowledge.
