About the position
The technical documentation and enterprise architecture (EA) illustrations are designed to represent logical, physical, virtual, and technical diagrams. These illustrate how systems are structured, how data and processes flow between them, and how hosting environments support their operation.
RequirementsKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define, implement, and manage the processes for the creation, maintenance, and governance of enterprise systems architecture.
- Ensure system and business owners have a clear understanding of the system operating model, including system interactions and dependencies.
- Develop comprehensive enterprise architecture diagrams illustrating system integrations, and the logical, physical, and virtual architecture of platforms.
- Liaise with system vendors to ensure contractual deliverables support required API and integration capabilities.
- Support business stakeholders in assigning data custodianship to manage and reconcile critical data across core systems (e.g., finance, HR, payroll), ensuring data integrity is auditable and maintained throughout financial cycles.
- Establish and enforce error management protocols, ensuring both internal teams and external vendors understand their responsibilities for maintaining stable production environments.
- Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are defined, implemented, and tested where systems rely on underlying hosting infrastructure.
JOB SPECIFICATION
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, system vendors, and technology teams to define architecture models covering integration points, security, network requirements, and hosting needs.
- Address security architecture, data segregation, data flow management, and implement store-and-forward mechanisms for systems requiring offline capabilities.
- Design and oversee network device management, monitoring protocols, and system accessibility standards.
- Provide consulting on business process analysis and architecture design, with a focus on master data management and the alignment of business rules.
- Advise system owners on rules and constraints arising from physical system interoperability to ensure proper data governance and control measures are in place.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (Formal Deliverables)
- Enterprise architecture diagrams (logical, physical, and technical views)
- API architecture, middleware integrations, store-and-forward queue definitions, and ownership/role mappings
- Error management protocols: incident review, resolution processes, and reporting structures
- Defined roles and responsibilities across internal technology teams, super users, and external vendors
- Data integrity protocols including profiling, validation rules, and review schedules
- Data platform architecture including warehouse schema, upstream/downstream interfaces, and API mapping to normalized data structures
- Network architecture standards and procedures: WAN, WWAN, VPN, LAN
- Network monitoring solution design: dashboards, notifications, and escalation procedures
