About the position
Westfalia Fruit Estate situated in Tzaneen, has a permanentvacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Teacher (Mathematics & Science).
Reporting to the Senior Manager: Land Reform & Stakeholder engagement, the incumbent will be responsible for supervising, educating, and supporting students to help them accomplish learning benchmarks. The duties include planning lessons that target specific skills and concepts, managing classroom behavior to keep all students engaged in the lesson and providing individual support and feedback for their students.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor of Education with focus on Mathematics, Science, or related field
- Proven experience as a teacher
- Valid SACE registration is mandatory
- Be in position of current criminal clearance
Knowledge:
- Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines
- Willingness to follow the school's policies and procedures
- Knowledge of CAPS policy document
- Knowledge of SACE policy
Skills:
- Strong public speaking and oral presentation skills
- Advanced Computer literacy: MS Office - full package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Publisher
- Excellent presenting skills
- Excellent report writing
Attitude/ Behaviour:
- High level of commitment to accuracy and quality
- Must be a team member
- Able to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work under pressure
- Passion for working with children of different ages
- Creative and energetic
