About the position
An independent private school in Sunninghill, Sandton is appointing four Foundation Phase teachers from January 2027, one each for Grade R, Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3. This is a co-teaching role. Two Lead Teachers share full responsibility for one class, working in an open-plan Learning Hub with a dedicated Enquiry Studio for hands-on, inquiry-based learning. It is not a traditional single-teacher classroom. You need a B.Ed Foundation Phase or a PGCE with Foundation Phase specialisation, plus SACE registration, and CAPS experience across Grades R to 3. An Early Childhood Development qualification on its own does not qualify. R25 000 to R35 000 per month total cost to company, including a 13th cheque and a Provident Fund contribution.
