Tax Specialist

About the position

Our client is looking for an experienced Group Tax Specialist to join their Finance team on a 7-month contract.

This role is ideal for a tax professional with strong technical expertise in South African and international tax who thrives in a dynamic, multinational environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide expert tax advisory support on CFC, corporate tax, restructuring, and M&A transactions.
• Manage the annual CFC compliance process and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
• Drive process improvements through AI and automation initiatives.
• Support external audits and contribute to strategic tax projects.

Requirements:

• Postgraduate qualification in Tax or Finance.
• Strong technical knowledge of South African and international tax.
• Knowledge relating to corporate roll-over relief, CFC legislation, participation exemption, establishing base cost and capital loss limitation rules.
• 3-6 years' experience, including at least 2 years in tax advisory.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
• A proactive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex tax challenges.
