Our client is a well-established firm within the accounting industry, offering comprehensive financial services to individuals and businesses. They are known for their commitment to compliance, precision, and client satisfaction.

This role involves full-spectrum tax oversight, including compliance, planning, and advisory services. The successful candidate will ensure accurate filings, develop efficient tax strategies, and liaise with SARS on behalf of clients. This is a key position requiring autonomy, strong tax knowledge, and professional representation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all client tax compliance matters
• Submit timely and accurate VAT, income tax, and other returns
• Develop and implement tax-saving strategies
• Handle tax audits and respond to SARS inquiries
• Advise internal stakeholders on tax implications of transactions
• Prepare and review tax provisions for financial reporting
• Conduct tax research and monitor legislative changes
• Maintain thorough and organized tax documentation
• Travel to SARS offices and act as Tax Representative
• Engage with SARS consultants to resolve client tax matters

Requirements

• Matric & Tertiary Education
• Drivers License and Own Vehicle
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in tax compliance and planning within an accounting firm preferred
• Sound knowledge of South African tax legislation
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office

Remuneration:
R20 000 - R30 000 - Subject to previous experience
