Master Global Compliance and Technical Accounting – Statutory & Tax Accountant

Key Responsibilities
- Statutory Reporting & Compliance
- Preparing standalone and consolidated statutory financial statements
- Managing statutory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Ensuring compliance with local and international reporting regulations
- Supporting and overseeing statutory audits across group entities
- Assisting with company secretarial and governance requirements
- Taxation & Technical Accounting
- Conducting technical accounting research and assessing the impact of new accounting standards
- Managing Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax (WHT), VAT, and GST compliance requirements
- Preparing and reviewing tax calculations and submissions
- Conducting international tax research and advising on cross-border transactions
- Supporting transfer pricing and management fee calculations
- Maintaining tax records and compliance documentation across multiple entities and jurisdictions
- Audit & Stakeholder Management
- Managing relationships with outsourced tax and compliance providers
- Liaising with auditors and external stakeholders
- Supporting audit preparation and responding to audit queries
- Monitoring outsourced compliance costs and forecasting associated expenditure
- Process Improvement & Projects
- Ensuring finance processes and procedures are documented and maintained
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation
- Participating in group-wide finance and compliance projects
- Supporting internal control and risk management initiatives
Job Experience and Skills Required
- Relevant BCom Accounting, Taxation, or Finance degree
- CTA or Honours qualification advantageous
- Master's in Taxation preferred
- Minimum 2 years post-articles experience
- Strong exposure to financial reporting, statutory accounting, and taxation
- Experience with Corporate Tax, WHT, VAT, and GST
- Experience in a multi-entity or international environment advantageous
- Advanced Excel and financial systems capability
- Exposure to Sage X3 advantageous
