About the position
A well-established accounting practice in the East Rand is seeking an experienced Tax Administrator to join their team.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Tax or a related field
- Minimum 2–3 years' tax administration experience within an accounting practice
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Valid driver's licence advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit Individual, Company and Trust Income Tax Returns
- Prepare and submit Provisional Tax and VAT returns
- Register clients for various SARS tax types
- Manage SARS eFiling profiles
- Handle SARS correspondence, queries, objections and appeals
- Request tax directives and Tax Compliance Status (TCS) certificates
- Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely submissions
- Liaise with SARS regarding outstanding matters
- Assist clients with tax-related queries
- Maintain accurate client tax records
- Calculate tax liabilities where required
- Assist with basic payroll tax matters including PAYE, UIF and SDL
- Stay up to date with changes in South African tax legislation
