About the position
We are seeking Systems Support Administrator: A supportive role to the LMS Solutions Analyst to perform overall technical and functional upkeep and maintenance of the Regenesys online learning platform (Moodle) to ensure uptime, performance, stability, usage and change control that supports the student learning [URL Removed] the LMS Solution Analyst to manage all support and assessment administration, monitoring, upkeep and functionality in relation to integration with RMS for pulling, updating and managing marks from all assessment types.
Support the LMS Solution Analyst to support the current team, assist assessments during exam times, admissions during peak times and releasing of results. This role will be required to assist all departments with queries and assessments during all the exams which will run weekly in 2026.
Key Performance Areas:
Platform Administration
As the responsible functionary to ensure the effectiveness of the platform who will work as a supportive role for the LMS solutions Analyst to be able to:
- Manage all instances of the Regenesys online learning platform (development, testing and live instances)
- Maintain the site in terms of setting up/customising or enhancing its theme, courses, modules, users, settings and policies
- Conduct system maintenance (version upgrades, plugin installations) to ensure optimal performance and usability
- Responsible for platform access and security.
Stakeholder engagement
- Engage with all internal stakeholders to ensure adequate site functioning and use, and identify improvements
- Address and resolve technical and site issues raised by internal users to improve site efficiencies
- Liaise with relevant service providers and stakeholders to ensure site availability and performance
- Responsible to deliver high levels of service to all platform users and stakeholders
Ownership of the Platform
- Be open to honest constructive criticism and suggested improvements
- Ensure data integrity and liaise with the LMS Solutions Analyst to ensure that all environments are secure.
- Forster the sharing of technical issues and possible enhancements within the team
Essential Work Experience
Minimum three years’ experience in:
- LMS administration (Moodle)
Key Functional / Technical Knowledge (Areas Of Expertise)
Moodle Platform
- Setup and create courses
- Backup and restore (courses, activities, resources)
- Bulk enrolments / unenrolments
- Grouping and groups
- Assessment types and all functionality, configuration and restrictions
- Gradebook setup
- Gradebook and formula knowledge (categories, grade items)
- Restrictions and restriction sets
- Full understanding of assessment processes
- Repositories and asset management
- Intermediate knowledge of interpreting logs and data analysis of reports (live logs, student logs and marks)
- Understanding FTP and managing accessibility and governance of sever files
- Understanding custom profile fields and their functionality with enrolment and auto-grouping
- Understanding API’s and integration tools will be beneficial
Reporting and Analytics
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL and MSSQL)
- Intermediate Power BI for all reporting purposes
Education & Qualification
- Portfolio of evidence in IT development and programming certification
- Bachelor in Computer Science or a related degree will be beneficial
