About the position
Psybergate is an IT company that builds bespoke software solutions and provides highly skilled resources to its clients.
We are looking for a Systems Integration Designer to join our financial services client based in Sandton for a 3-months contract role.
To transform high-level solution designs into detailed, actionable technical specifications that drive business value. This role bridges the gap between macro architecture and development, ensuring solutions are aligned across teams and platforms while contributing critical technical components.
What you will be doing:
- Translate business and architectural requirements into detailed technical designs within your domain, while advising across broader product areas.
- Identify and advise on technology integration opportunities across business units.
- Collaborate with development teams by communicating specifications, risks, and timelines.
- Participate in technical design sessions and lead component-level specification approvals.
- Perform impact and risk analysis on proposed changes; deliver corresponding artefacts, including effort and timeline estimates.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, identify dependencies, and escalate non-compliance where necessary.
- Deliver solutions that meet agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Review and sign off on testing documentation and validate that deliverables meet business expectations.
- Research and incorporate industry trends and best practices into technical design and implementation.
- Serve as a technical consultant to architecture teams and product stakeholders.
- Drive post-implementation reviews and integrate learnings into future work.
- Contribute to the current and future-state technology landscape through innovation and optimization.
- Support the company’s strategic goals by aligning technical efforts with broader business objectives.
What we are looking for:
- Completed IT Degree, BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5 years’ experience in systems integration, software development, or technical solution design.
- Proven experience in translating solution architecture into detailed technical designs.
- Strong background in systems integration, software development, or technical consulting.
- Experience working across multiple product domains and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of risk and impact analysis in technical environments.
- Demonstrated ability to translate architectural designs into detailed technical specifications.
