Manage and maintain UNIX and Solaris operating systems.
Perform regular system updates and patches to ensure security and stability.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Administer and configure Connect:Direct (formerly known as NDM) for file transfer operations.
Implement automation scripts to facilitate scheduled and on-demand file transfers.
Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions to ensure appropriate access controls.
Monitor access logs and maintain compliance with security policies.
Develop and execute backup and recovery plans for critical data and applications.
Test recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
Analyze system performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements.
Optimize system configurations to enhance throughput and reduce latency.
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Generate reports on system performance, file transfers, and security logs.
Work with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and integrations.
Provide technical support and guidance to users regarding system-related issues.
Implement security measures to protect systems against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
Regularly review and update firewall and access control configurations.
Coordinate with hardware and software vendors for support and maintenance issues.
Evaluate new tools and technologies that can improve system management.
Respond quickly to system outages or breaches and troubleshoot root causes.
Develop and implement incident response plans to mitigate future risks.
