We are seeking a skilled and proactive Intermediate Systems Engineer to join our client’s dynamic IT operations team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a solid background in system patching, application packaging, and vulnerability remediation. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the security and integrity of enterprise systems by managing patching processes across Windows environments, ensuring compliance with internal and external security standards.


You'll work closely with infrastructure, security, and support teams to optimize patch deployment strategies using tools like SCCM, Intune, PatchMyPC, and NinjaOne. Your ability to troubleshoot, script in PowerShell, and provide clear reporting and analytics will be critical to maintaining a resilient and up-to-date technology environment.




RequirementsResponsibilities:

• Manage and support application patching and packaging processes.
  
• Oversee Windows and Microsoft patching to ensure compliance and security.
  
• Utilize SCCM and Intune for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  
• Work closely with security and IT teams to improve patch management strategies.
  
• Diagnosing failed patches, analysing logs, and resolving system conflicts.
  
• Ensure compliance with security policies and vulnerability remediation requirements.
  

 


Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience with SCCM and Intune.
  
• Expertise in the full lifecycle of application patching and packaging.
  
• Knowledge of Windows patching, specifically Microsoft WuFB update processes.
  
• Understanding of vulnerability management and remediation processes.
  
• PowerShell Scripting for automation, patch deployment, and reporting.
  
• Reporting & Analytics ability to extract and analyse patching data using tools like Power BI or Excel.
  
• Experience with NinjaOne or a similar RMM tool for remote patch management and monitoring.
  
• Experience with PatchMyPC (patching third party applications)
