Surveyor

About the position

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Surveyor to join a civil construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in construction surveying, civil infrastructure projects, and operating advanced GPS equipment.

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Civil Engineering / Surveying (or equivalent)
• Relevant land surveying certificate advantageous
• Valid driver’s licence
• 3–5 years construction surveying experience
• Exposure to civil infrastructure projects (roads, pipelines, bulk earthworks, pumpstations)
• Practical experience operating RTK GPS equipment
• Experience processing quantities in Model Maker or similar software

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily site set-out and verify contractor levels
• Perform as-built surveys and check levels, alignments, and offsets
• Establish and verify control points
• Assist with quantity reconciliation and monthly measurement reporting
• Maintain survey equipment and calibration records
• Prepare as-built data for project handover
• Provide quantity reports to Site Manager / Contracts Manager
