About the position
Responsible for establishing a rolling demand plan for your Area of Responsibility, and also perform supply planning in order to optimise supply chain costs and service for the host banks stock optimisation, the operational planning of stock movements, inventory locations and planning of inter-centre stock movements, this is a highly responsible position which requires the utmost integrity and attention to detail.
You will be responisble in a specifc geographic area for:
- Sales & Operations / Stock Optimisation Planning/Demand Planning
- Feeds forecasting data into specific software that produce recommended planning solution
- Stakeholder Management
- Reporting and Analysis
- Continuous Improvement
- Analyse, evaluate and amend system recommendations based on stock optimisation, principles, rules and regulations
- Coordinate Sales & Operations 6-week plans by tracking the movements and liaising with various stakeholders
- Update Business Analyst on operational changes to be made to the system
- Liaise with Demand Planner to ensure that forecasting targets are accurate
- Ensure that load status and tracking is current, and any delays need to be communicated or alternate arrangements must be made.
- Capture all feedback on the loads in the system to be able to draw MIS
Essential Requirements:
- A completed 3 year Degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial and systems engineering or similar analytical degree PLUS
- At least 12 months solid experience in inventory forecasting, planning and statistical analysis
- Including at least 6 - 12 months experience in planning within a supply chain environment.
- Experience with software based planning
- Knowledge of supply planning principles.
- Any continuous improvement experience is an advantage
- Analytical- and Critical Thinking Ability
- Logical Thinking and Judgment Ability
- Are resourceful in generating new and original ideas to solve problems or designing new methods of executing/performing tasks to create value to the customer.
- Your own reliable transport and are in possession of a valid driver's license
- Hybrid work model - mostly work from home
