About the position
Our client, a leading engineering consulting firm, is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their team in Secunda.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Guiding and managing the provision of procurement services
- The complete supply chain management function
- Assisting other departments with information and advice.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum relevant tertiary degree in Procurement/Supply Chain Management.
- At least 10 years' experience and knowledge in the EPC and EPCM environment.
- Previous procurement experience in Petro-chemical industry would be a strong advantage.
- Basic knowledge of NEC 3 operations and principles may be advantageous.
- Be familiar with the different types of RFQ's, full understanding of general Terms & Conditions of all types.
- Full understanding of Incoterms 2010 on logistics.
- Must be able to understand and interpret technical drawings and have a basic understanding of petro-chemical piping components, BOM's and client and international specifications.
- Advanced skills in negotiations and problem-solving.
- Should have ample experience in working with people (skills).
- Valid driver's license with own transport (Code B / EB).
