Excellent career opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager Logistics to oversee the procurement, logistics, warehousing & distribution and financial activities for the company
Minimum Requirements
- Undergraduate qualification in Logistics or Finance
- Postgraduate qualification advantageous
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in a manufacturing electronics, or similar environment, working with utilities is advantageous
- Proven success in production planning, managing inventory, working capital, warehousing, transportation, and people
- Understanding international trade, incoterms, and risk mitigation
- Excel (advanced), SAP, and analytical capabilities
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Oversee the logistics activities of the company
- Reduce the total cost of ownership while managing supply, Supplier quality, obsolescence, and price risk
- Manage Supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services
- Maintain cost-effective logistics practices
- Serve as a Strategic Advisor, providing insights and driving initiatives to optimize logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure alignment with the company’s operational and business objectives
- Develop and implement strategies for overall logistics, distribution, warehousing & procurement improvement, cost reduction, and risk management
- Oversee demand planning, inventory optimization, and the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
- Data analysis
- Sales forecasting, budgets & costing
- Understand working capital on inventory levels
- Optimize transportation strategies, reduce costs, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Manage warehouse operations, ensuring stock accuracy, process efficiency, and safety compliance
- Develop and mentor the Logistics team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
