About the position
An established and growing food and beverage manufacturing company is seeking a dynamic and highly organised Supply Chain Manager / Logistics Coordinator to oversee inventory management and support the efficient flow of goods throughout the business based in Riebeeksriver, Malmesbury.
The successful candidate will work closely with Production and Finance, ensuring accurate inventory records, appropriate stock levels, and smooth supply chain operations. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimise inventory management using Cin7, ensuring accurate and reliable stock information.
- Monitor stock levels, movements, replenishment requirements, and overall inventory accuracy.
- Maintain data integrity across inventory and supply chain processes
- Work closely with the Production Coordinator to align stock availability and supply chain activities with production schedules.
- Collaborate with the Financial Manager to provide accurate inventory information for cost accounting, reporting, and planning.
- Coordinate procurement and distribution requirements to ensure the timely movement of goods.
- Proactively identify and resolve supply chain or inventory bottlenecks.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective measures where required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, accuracy, and operational performance.
- Maintain effective communication across Production, Finance, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, or stock coordination, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control processes.
- Experience with inventory or ERP systems; Cin7 experience is highly advantageous.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with inventory data and collaborating with Finance on cost-related information.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
