About the position
The Supply Chain Manager: Community Engagement & Stakeholder Relations is responsible for supporting and managing key components of Soufflet Malt South Africa’s supply chain function, with a specific focus on local procurement, supplier coordination, B-BBEE procurement, SMME participation, community engagement, CSI, stakeholder relations and shareholder-level support where relevant.
The role will contribute to the development of a structured, compliant and efficient supply chain for the Sedibeng malthouse, while ensuring that local economic participation is properly coordinated with contractors, suppliers, local businesses, community stakeholders, Midvaal Municipality and future strategic empowerment partners.
During the construction phase, the role will support local procurement coordination, SMME visibility, supplier database management, stakeholder communication and community-related matters linked to the project.
Once the factory is operational, the role will progressively support the broader supply chain function, including procurement administration, supplier management, service provider coordination, logistics follow-up, B-BBEE procurement tracking, CSI coordination, stakeholder relationship management and shareholder-related reporting support.
The role will also support the Managing Director with shareholder and board-level stakeholder management where required, particularly in relation to the company’s future B-BBEE partner, local economic participation commitments, CSI, supplier development and community-facing matters requiring visibility at governance level.
The role will work closely with internal technical, finance, agriculture, project and factory teams, and may supervise procurement, logistics or administrative support resources as the organisation grows.
