About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated and detail orientated professional to join the Supply Chain Management team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will support the delivery of fair, transparent, competitive and cost effective supply chain services in line with government regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Ordering and Purchasing of Goods and Services
- Capture requisitions on LOGIS
- Check and amend procurement advice for authorisation
- Perform online order authorisations accurately
- Maintain all orders in line with LOGIS requirements
- Create and generate orders on LOGIS
- Verify transactions and ensure correct supplier allocation
- Link orders to the correct supplier and chief user
- Send authorised orders to service providers
- Update the LOGIS database and order spreadsheets accurately
Liaison with Suppliers and End Users
- Inform end users of expected deliveries via email or telephone
- Communicate with suppliers and service providers regarding deliveries
Record Keeping and Filing
- File procurement advices and copies of orders numerically
- Forward relevant documentation to transit
- Assist with database maintenance
Reporting
- Conduct monthly order follow ups
- Compile and update commitment reports
- Modify commitment relief dates on the Portal for accurate reporting
Administrative Support
- Perform general administrative duties related to the unit
- Provide functional advice and technical guidance to management and stakeholders
- Submit progress reports and assist with risk monitoring
Minimum Requirements
- Matric Certificate or equivalent relevant qualification plus 1 year relevant experience
- Knowledge of LOGIS and BAS systems
- Understanding of Supply Chain Management processes and procedures
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including PFMA, Treasury Regulations, PPPFA and BBBEE Act
- Computer literacy
