About the position

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the direct management of your operational team, with a focus on delivering daily targets and maintaining high standards of efficiency and accuracy.
  • Overseeing day-to-day team operations to meet output, quality, and safety standards.
  • Allocating tasks, setting daily goals, and providing real-time coaching and feedback.
  • Conducting daily team briefings and clearly communicating expectations and priorities.
  • Monitoring team performance, identifying issues, and escalating challenges to the Controller.
  • Ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), BOP standards, and safety protocols.
  • Reporting on daily team deliverables, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supporting training, mentoring, and development of team members to improve capability and performance.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Grade 12 (Mandatory).
  • Post matric qualification will be advantageous.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a distribution, logistics, or warehousing environment.
  • Successful Completion of the Developing Supervisory Programme for Internal DC Applicants (Mandatory).
Skills:
  • Proven ability to motivate teams and drive performance under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of DC operational processes and targets.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and team development.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts as required by operational demands.
