About the position
Purpose of the role:
Backed by a large National Group, focused on building skilled artisans and professionals, the Artisan Academy requires a suitably qualified incumbent to drive lead generation, conversion, and enrolments for its nationally recognised qualifications and workplace readiness programmes (including Electrician certification, Solar PV training, Sales/Product knowledge courses, and industry upskilling).
The role is highly target-driven, requiring resilience, urgency, and strong sales execution.
NOT Administrative - purely a sales and conversion role.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full sales pipeline from first contact to paid registration
- Lead conversion: Contact, qualify, present, overcome objections, close enrolments
- Pipeline ownership: Track all leads, maintain CRM, forecast registrations
- Sales activity: High outbound calls, WhatsApp/email follow-ups, consultations, events
- Customer experience: Build trust, guide documentation, ensure smooth enrolment journey
- Team contribution: Share market insights, support admissions/finance/training teams
Requirements:
- Matric required; tertiary qualification advantageous
- 3-5 years proven sales experience (education, finance, retail, recruitment, property, etc.)
- Natural closer, energetic, competitive, resilient with a track record of hitting targets
- Strong communicator, disciplined, organised, professional
- Passionate about helping people succeed
- Computer literate (CRM, Excel, email, WhatsApp)
- Driver's licence beneficial
