About the position

Oversee inventory and ensure timely availability of parts and materials, optimise storage, and streamline processes in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory or stores management within heavy manufacturing
  • Extensive experience in winching, including materials and manufacturing processes
  • Strong background in logistical operations and inventory control

Key Performance Areas:

  • Oversee daily operations, maintain accurate inventory levels, and manage inventory control systems
  • Supply chain coordination, including collaborating with suppliers to ensure timely material availability, negotiate terms, and manage defective returns
  • Develop efficient storage systems, improve inventory processes, and streamline operations
  • Lead and develop the stores team to foster a culture of safety and compliance
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including regular audits
  • Oversee budget, including monitoring expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring equipment maintenance
