About the position
Oversee inventory and ensure timely availability of parts and materials, optimise storage, and streamline processes in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in inventory or stores management within heavy manufacturing
- Extensive experience in winching, including materials and manufacturing processes
- Strong background in logistical operations and inventory control
Key Performance Areas:
- Oversee daily operations, maintain accurate inventory levels, and manage inventory control systems
- Supply chain coordination, including collaborating with suppliers to ensure timely material availability, negotiate terms, and manage defective returns
- Develop efficient storage systems, improve inventory processes, and streamline operations
- Lead and develop the stores team to foster a culture of safety and compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including regular audits
- Oversee budget, including monitoring expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring equipment maintenance
