About the position
A well-established industrial pumps company supplying technically advanced products for a variety of industries and applications requires the above to receive, inspect and store incoming materials, equipment, and supplies.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A High school diploma or equivalent is essential for this role.
- Must have min 2 year’s experience working as a Storeman or similar role in a warehouse environment.
- Must be familiar with inventory management software.
- Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move heavy and operate warehouse equipment is essential.
- Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Forklift certification is preferred but not required (training can be provided).

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and transactions using inventory management software.
- Performing regular stock checks and reconciling discrepancies.
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment to customers and branches.
- Coordinating with purchasing and sales departments to fulfil orders and replenish stock.
- Ensuring proper storage and handling of hazardous materials according to safety regulations.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assisting with periodic inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assisting in the loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
- Reporting any inventory shortages, damages, or quality issues to management.
- Assisting the workshop with the repair and assembly of pumps and pump sets.
- Assisting in other warehouse duties as assigned.
