About the position

Store Development Manager

My client a leading FMCG retailer in Cape Town has an exciting new vacancy for a Store Development Manager.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Manage a team of project managers and store designers, to build and revamp cutting
edge stores.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Service existing and new retailers with structural & aesthetic store

development

  • Come up with strategic advancements in the field of store development
  • Control and manage the preferred suppliers list
  • Control and manage your own budget
  • Control and manage the image of all stores
  • Design and implement minimum specification pertaining to store

development

  • Improve communication between all departments to facilitate in the successful

launching of all stores

  • Manage all store developments taking place at Western Cape
  • Report to management on progress of all revamped and new stores

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

  • Matric
  • NQF Level 5 or higher
  • Building Engineering or Building Science Diploma or Degree
  • Previous retail development knowledge
  • Previous retail store development experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Financial knowledge, analytical skills
  • Computer literate (presentation skills)
  • Dependable, self-starter, proactive, high energy levels and concise
  • Ability to motivate a team of people and create relationships.
