Stock Controller

About the position

ENVIRONMENT:

A highly meticulous & organised Stock Controller whose core role will be taking charge of the procurement of hardware and software is sought by a dynamic Internet Service & Network Specialist to join its team. You will obtain comparative quotes on hardware, rotate maintenance stock with project stock, ensure that order and delivery descriptions match before GRV process starts while arranging delivery and collections at various branches. Applicants will need Matric/Grade 12 with 3-5 years’ work experience with stock control and supply chain and preferably be proficient with Great Plains, SAP and have exposure to ERP systems.

DUTIES:

• Vendor relationships with hardware providers and service providers.
• Ability to obtain comparative quotes on hardware, including availability and if stock availability is a problem, a comparable alternative model as advised by the vendor.
• Create POs on GP, ensure approval is received and send approved copies to suppliers.
• Maintain minimum re-order levels of stock.
• Rotate maintenance stock with project stock to ensure the business does not end up with obsolete maintenance stock.
• Ensure that order and delivery descriptions match before GRV process starts.
• Process invoices from suppliers GRV (goods received voucher).
• Arrange delivery and collections at various branches depending on requirement, to minimise transport costs.
• Ensure that delivery times and ordering match that of the projects and keep stakeholders informed of eta/delays.
• Invoice clients in a timely manner.
• Reconcile and manage spares stock.
• Adhere to strict inventory management processes and ability to work independently.
• Monthly billing from internal accounts.
• Document and asset capture movement of stock.
• Monthly stocktake.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric or Grade 12 Essential.
• Preferred Accounting package Great Plains, SAP, ERP system exposure essential.
• 3-5 Years on the job experience, stock control and supply chain.
• Multitasking.
• Good communication.
• Valid Driver’s Licence.
