About the position
A well-established clothing manufacturer is seeking a Stock Controller to manage raw materials, WIP, and finished goods within a busy production environment. This role requires an organised individual with strong accuracy and experience working within a garment or textile setting
Our client operates in the clothing and PPE manufacturing industry, supplying specialised garments to various sectors. They maintain structured production processes that rely on accurate stock management to support cutting, sewing, quality, and dispatch operations. Their environment is hands-on, collaborative, and fast-paced.
In this position, you will oversee the full stock flow from receiving materials to issuing goods across production departments. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, performing stock counts, capturing data on the system, and supporting production teams with timely and organised stock movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and verify incoming raw materials, trims, and components.
- Capture accurate stock information on the system, including Sage.
- Maintain records for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts, cycle counts, and full inventory audits.
- Prepare GRVs, stock variance reports, and stock movement documentation.
- Issue raw materials and components to cutting, sewing, and other production departments according to job cards.
- Issue WIP and finished goods to QA, packing, and dispatch.
- Update daily production and stock movement schedules.
- Flag low stock levels for reordering and assist with discrepancy investigations.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and structured stockroom.
- Assist with overflow purchase order and sales administration when needed.

Requirements
- Matric (essential).
- 2–5 years’ experience as a Stock Controller in manufacturing (clothing/PPE/textile preferred).
- Experience using Sage or a similar ERP/inventory system.
- Computer literate with strong Excel skills.
- Able to perform physical stock counts and manage stock movement.

R8000 - R10 000
