About the position
Our client is looking for a Stock Control Coordinator to join their team.
The successful candidate will have a Storeman reporting to them and will be responsible for accurately capturing and updating stock movement data and General Ledger (GL) entries for multiple store locations, ensuring that the required stock levels are maintained and that service delivery is cost-effective, timeous and efficient. This position is essential to ensuring the integrity of inventory records and financial reporting.
Responsibilities include:
Managing inventory, stock levels, and supplier orders
Capturing and processing daily stock transactions, including stock in/out, transfers, adjustments, and returns
- Inputting General Ledger (GL) entries accurately in the financial system, ensuring proper coding and categorisation
- Reconciling captured data with physical stock counts, supplier invoices, and system reports
- Preparing monthly reports related to inventory movement and financial entries, providing accurate financial stock level reporting
- Ensuring that all data entries comply with internal controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements
- Coordinating with foreman, managers and vendors for product availability
- Coordinating with storemen, foremen, finance team, and procurement to resolve discrepancies in stock or financial data
- Monitoring rental equipment
- Maintaining records of sales, expenses, and store performance reports
- Maintaining and updating filing systems, both electronic and manual, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible
- Managing and controlling inter branch invoicing within the Group
- Participating in periodic stocktakes and audits as required
- Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations
