Stock Accountant

About the position

We are looking for a Stock accountant / Stock controller to oversee and manage the Stock movements for a company in the Food Manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for manage the daily & monthly movements of stock.
• Overseeing the closing of stock balances.
• Ensuring processing of stock movements are timeous and accurate.
• Rendering support to the extended Supply Chain Team
• Resolving stock queries & releasing production on SAGE.
• Be a part of the monthly stock count process & resolving stock variances.
• Daily releasing production on Sage and bulk recon on excel.
• Tracking for WIP and of damaged stock movement.
• Invoicing, GRV's on Sage.
• Contract management.
• Co-ordinate and oversee monthly stock count as verification.
• Perform pre snapshot checks & balances.
• Capture counts & split counts
• Compile variance report & send to sites for investigation.
• Provide reasons for all stock variances as best as possible.
• Process correction journals & recount journals
• Complete Stock Gain/Loss Report
• Create new BOM's on request and process amendments to existing BOM's

Qualifications and experience required:

• Relevant diploma or degree
• Grade 12
• Experience working on SAGE will be advantageous
• Min 2 years' experience in similar position
• Experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Experience with Daily stock control
• Experience doing Daily & Monthly variance stock analysis
• Experience compiling Stock Reports
