Staff Accountant

About the position

Hire Resolve's client, a leading international logistics company, is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join their growing team in Gqeberha. Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
  
  
• Manage journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations
  
  
• Handle month-end and year-end close processes
  
  
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  
  
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
  
  
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal control policies
  
  
• Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  
  
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and support strategic financial initiatives
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  
  
• CPA or progress toward CPA designation preferred
  
  
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role
  
  
• Experience in logistics or international companies is advantageous
  
  
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  
  
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
