We’re looking for a talented SQL / C# Specialist to join a dynamic Business Intelligence Team and play a hands-on role in developing, maintaining and evolving the data solutions that power a leading supply chain and logistics environment.
This is not just a database development role.
You’ll work across SQL, C#, ETL, reporting, APIs, data analytics and emerging AI capabilities — helping transform data into actionable intelligence for both internal teams and customers.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
OWN & EVOLVE INTEGRATIONS
- Maintain and actively monitor integrations across POS, EDI, SFTP, REST, SOAP and other APIs.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure reliable data exchange with external systems.
- Continuously improve existing integrations and develop new integration capabilities.
- Help ensure mission-critical systems remain stable, efficient and scalable.
BUILD & OPTIMISE DATA SOLUTIONS
- Develop and maintain MS SQL Server databases and T-SQL solutions.
- Design and enhance ETL processes using SSIS.
- Develop and maintain SSRS reports and business-facing data solutions.
- Improve database performance, resource utilisation and overall reliability.
- Support data warehousing and advanced analytics initiatives.
PUT YOUR C# SKILLS TO WORK
- Develop C# solutions for data processing, custom functions and application integrations.
- Build and enhance technical solutions connecting internal and external systems.
- Assist with developing new functionality based on business requirements.
- Explore opportunities to automate repetitive processes and improve efficiency.
TURN DATA INTO INSIGHT
- Work with stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into technical solutions.
- Contribute to advanced data analytics and proactive insight models.
- Help transform complex datasets into information that supports better business and customer decisions.
- Explore opportunities to use AI and emerging technologies to unlock additional value from data.
PROTECT DATA & MAINTAIN QUALITY
- Support database administration and best-practice maintenance.
- Ensure data is accurate, complete, reliable and appropriately governed.
- Work within relevant data governance requirements, including POPIA compliance.
- Participate in testing and quality assurance of new and enhanced solutions.
SHARE KNOWLEDGE
- Create technical specifications and supporting documentation.
- Participate in requirements gathering and solution design.
- Share technical knowledge and best practices with the wider team.
- Translate complex technical concepts into language that business stakeholders can understand.
RequirementsWHAT YOU'LL BRING
Essential Experience
- 5–8 years' IT experience in programming and/or systems analysis.
- Strong experience with:
- T-SQL
- Microsoft SQL Server
- SSIS
- SSRS
- C#
- 5–8 years' experience with C# for data processing, custom functions and application integrations.
- 4–6 years' experience in data warehousing and advanced data analytics.
- Strong understanding of SQL and ETL programming concepts.
- Experience with technology and application development methodologies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
