About the position
We are looking for a skilled and experienced SQL Administrator to manage and support SQL Server environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining database performance, ensuring data integrity, and supporting critical business systems. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and upgrade SQL Server instances across development and production environments.
- Develop and enforce database security policies to protect sensitive information.
- Monitor system performance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Design and implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Conduct regular database audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Manage database backup and recovery processes to ensure data availability.
- Provide technical support to database users and development teams.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders on data-driven projects and enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in SQL Server administration, including backup/recovery, security, and performance tuning.
Technical Skills Required
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and database management tools.
- Strong knowledge of database architecture, administration, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Familiarity with database security best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both independent and team environments.
