SPECIFICATIONS ACCOUNT MANAGER to be based in the Western Cape

In this role, you’ll champion decorative solutions, working with architects, designers, and contractors to bring our clients' collection into inspiring commercial and residential spaces across the Western Cape.

(This is a remote role that requires a fully functional home office setup and reliable internet connectivity.)
THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE ARE:
- A Minimum of Matric, AND a diploma/degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a Design-related field, WITH at least 3 years experience in a solution-based sales or marketing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in the building and construction industry, particularly in interior finishes (interior dry work).
- A proven ability to build and sustain relationships with key influencers in the specification value chain, such as architects, contractors, and designers.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical product details to various stakeholders and large groups.
- A clear criminal record, a valid driver's licence, and the ability to work remotely with a fully functional home office setup and reliable internet connectivity.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
SPECIFICATION STRATEGY EXECUTION:
- Supporting the implementation of the Specification Strategy to increase brand awareness and market reach.
- Designing innovative frameworks and processes to convert data into valuable intelligence and improve operational efficiency.
- Implementing scorecards to measure the success of specification activities, track market opportunities, and share.
SPECIFICATION TEAM & STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT:
- Building and maintaining relationships with industry service providers, key influencers, and decision-makers within the specification value chain.
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on value proposition and product offering.
- Maintaining and managing specification-related information within the Salesforce CRM platform, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices.
CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
- Building strong relationships with architects, designers, property developers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Facilitating engagement with clients to drive specification opportunities for decorative offerings.
- Leading the communication of technical aspects of products and sustainability to key stakeholders.
BRAND COMMUNICATION & EVENTS:
- Supporting the execution of the Brand and Communication Strategy through participation in targeted events and initiatives, such as CPD architect events and industry seminars.
- Representing the company professionally in all client engagements and industry interactions.
- Providing input and feedback on market activity and client engagement to support ongoing brand positioning.
DECOR COLLECTION SUPPORT:
- Playing a key role in the selection and evaluation of new decor and finishes, ensuring they meet market demands and align with industry trends.
- Collaborating with global teams to drive synergies and ensure consistency in product offerings.
