About the position
Purpose of the Job: Reporting to the Senior Manager: Programme Delivery Management, the successful incumbent is responsible for working across a range of small to medium projects within the organisation with a cross functional teams and external service providers to prepare governance documents in line with the prescribed methodology of the Project Delivery Management, to plan, execute and finalise projects within the budget and in line with the strict deadlines.
Key Performance Areas
Reporting
- Prepare and submit regulation reports as and when required to provide progress updates and/or inform management decisions.
- Develop functional reporting systems, for management, projects or performance reporting.
- Prepare proposals, briefings, presentations, reports, and other documentation and provide management information both verbally and in report format.
Project Management
- Define project plan and scope.
- Develop full-scale project plans.
- Manage project budgets.
- Prepare governance documents, the planning and execution thereof.
- Maintain project artefacts.
- Proactively manage changes.
- Facilitation of project meetings and administration.
- Plan and set priorities for all elements of the project.
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions.
- Monitor and report on status of project efforts.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Plan proactively to mitigate project risks and report on all issues and risks.
- Compliance with policies and procedures.
Management Oversight
- Responsible for managing, planning, scheduling, estimating, controlling and delivering all activities for projects.
- Direct and manage project teams, including performance
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
Policy Review and Implementation
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policy, procedures and processes.
- Keep up to date with effective policy and practice execution strategies.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with the stakeholders to ensure proper engagement.
- Create project awareness throughout the Fund through various engagements with RAF employees.
- Engage with relevant internal stakeholders during programme delivery.
- Delegate enquiries and requests for information from both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree/ Advanced Diploma in Project Management/ ICT related qualification.
- Certification in Project Management Methodology Prince2/ PMBok/ Agile will be an added advantage.
- Relevant 5 - 7 years' experience in managing projects.
- Experience in Managing Transversal Projects.
- Experience in Insurance/ Financial Services/ Information Technology project management environment
- Experience in project management tools.
