Specialist Platform Engineer / VMWare Architecture

About the position

Psybergate is an IT company that builds bespoke software solutions and provides highly skilled resources to its clients.
We are looking for a Specialist Platform Engineer / VMWare Architecture to join our financial services client based in Johannesburg for a 12-months contract role.
What you will be doing:

• The scope of the VMWare Architect, Engineering and Operations Services comprises the following:
• VMWare Architect, Engineering and Operations Administration.
• VMWare Architect, Engineering and Operations Maintenance and Support.
• VMWare Architect, Engineering and Operations Installation and configuration in line with the requirement.

What we are looking for:

• Completed IT / BSc degree or other related fields
• 5-10 years’ experience for each. 
• Virtualization Technology: VMWare, Hyper-V and Powerflex. 
• Database Technology: MS SQL, Oracle 11G. 
• Server Operating Systems: Windows Server, Oracle Linux (RHEL), Centos7/8, Redhat, Suse. 
• Programming Languages:  Bash, HTML, SQL, PL/SQL. Tools: HA Proxy, Splunk. 
• Cloud Technologies: AWS, Azure. 
• Methodologies and Frameworks: IT Major Incident Management, ITIL Incident, Change, Problem Management, ITIL Governance and Compliance. 
• Network Technology: Cisco - Design, Implement and Troubleshoot.
