PURPOSE
The role of Specialist ERP (Human Resources (HR) is one of several that act as the end-to-end Functional and Technical custodian of the SAP HR and SuccessFactors product suite. With a customer success centric mindset, the Specialist ERP (HR) will oversee and manage all execution within the SAP platform for their domain of accountability.
The responsibilities of the Specialist ERP (HR) include governance, analysis, improvement, design, monitoring, innovation, availability management and risk management relating to the SAP HR and SuccessFactors domain.
The Specialist ERP (HR) will be dedicated to managing people, processes and technology through the stabilization, maintenance, continuous improvement projects and innovation for the Human Resources domain at the organization. In this role the Specialist ERP (HR) will be responsible for ensuring that the needs of the relevant Business Operations and other Functions are supported, and value is delivered through the ERP activities, services and practices.
The Specialist ERP (HR) has technical and business operations understanding for their specific modules and maintain strong awareness of changes in the business environment in order to ensure that the delivery of ERP services is aligned to organisational requirements.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategy and Planning
- Contribute to the vision and strategy for the ERP Platform delivery model.
- Contribute to the development of the ERP Human Resources roadmap and Technology Plans.
- Assist and contribute to the ERP Platform plans including maintenance and improvement.
- Identify and share the value drivers for the ERP Platform across the organisation.
- Be adaptable to change of the business and Technology strategies through the ERP Platform practices and services.
- Assist with identifying areas of cost and productivity improvement and contribute ideas to the planning process.
ERP Platform Management
- Assist with the establishment and governance of the ERP Platform practices and processes in collaboration with suppliers and the broader Platform Teams.
- Ensure effective and efficient delivery of ERP services and solutions to the Functions and Operations and take responsibility for the support of all applicable ERP activities.
- Ensure engagements of business stakeholders and Service providers are clearly articulated and adhered to.
- Adhere to the Technology processes and procedures specifically the customer engagement, change and communication plans and strategies.
- Ensure service level requirements of the ERP Platform are clearly articulated and managed with the AMS Service providers.
- Manage and monitor ERP Human Resources BAU activities including incidents, change requests and escalations.
- Manage the support vendor on delivery within the module in terms of SLA, deliverable timelines and quality.
- Ensure ongoing feedback loops with the customers based in the Functions and at site in the Operations in relation to stakeholder requirements, expectations and satisfaction.
- Monitor the performance of the Service Management Platform and work with the suppliers to identify and close gaps/issues.
- Effectively manage the relevant assets of the ERP Platform, including procedures, policies and documentation.
- Maintain a strong awareness of business processes that the ERP Platform supports and seek to continuously collaborate with Business representatives to improve the processes while minimising disruption.
- Be a key contact for Human Resources ERP activities and effectively manage relationships with the Function and Operation teams.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the ERP Human Resources capabilities.
- Contribute to the fostering of a continuous improvement culture to ensure ongoing enhancement and optimisation of platform capabilities and technical skills.
- Drive and encourage peer engagement across the Technology Platform Teams as well as the operational teams.
- Manage the relationship with the Business Process Leads and Stakeholders which includes regular engagement sessions.
- Act as the gatekeeper for the organization in terms of changes affecting the System and advise on policies and procedures for ERP.
- Ensure that all deliverables are met for the TAG (Technical Advisory Group) process.
- Continuous self-development in the relevant SAP area and domain.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualification/s Required
- Relevant IT qualification (BTech, Degree) preferred.
- SAP HR and SuccessFactors Certification required.
Working Experience
- Minimum 7 - 10 years working experience in SAP HR and SuccessFactors.
Technical/Specialist Skills Required
- Deep technical skills and knowledge of SAP HR and SuccessFactors practices and lifecycle.
- Demonstrated understanding of the SAP ERP system and integration points within SAP ERP, and Peripheral systems e.g. Ariba, MES.
- Management and Integration of the systems that are required for ERP Human Resources services.
- Experience with working alongside architects, understanding SAP architecture patterns.
- SAP Access and Security management for SAP Human Resources.
- Experience in executing proof of concepts to assess the value of use cases.
- A passion for the SAP technology and the opportunities for the change it brings.
