About the position
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Specialist: Developer to join a fast-paced development environment based in Edenvale. This role focuses on building scalable applications, driving technical excellence, and delivering high-quality software solutions across the full development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using C#.NET, VB.NET, .NET Core, and .NET Framework
- Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and indexing strategies on MSSQL
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and web services
- Analyse business requirements and design high-performance technical solutions
- Maintain, enhance, and support existing systems and applications
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and documentation
- Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and external vendors
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in a relevant field
- 5-8 years' software development experience in .NET (C#.NET, VB.NET)
- Strong MSSQL experience including complex queries and performance tuning
- Experience with REST API and web services development
- Strong understanding of software architecture and best practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
