About the position

Implement effective strategies for managing all aspects of refurbishment, field service, and spare parts logistics, ensuring accurate stock documentation and minimal discrepancies.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Communicate with both internal and external customers responding to requirements
  • Engage with suppliers, leading pricing negotiations, lead times, and strategic planning
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including implementing inventory controls to optimize spare parts management and maintaining sufficient spare part stock
  • Strategically plan the supply of spares across the business operations
  • Implement global and local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for procurement, receiving, and transfer of spares
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize overall operational efficiency
  • Reduce and control Slow Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) inventory
  • Maintain correct stock levels in the system
  • Document management

Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:

  • Completed diploma in Logistics or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years practical experience in warehousing, including spare parts handling
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel, including pivot charts and vlookups
